A Troyes ‘Bibliothèque Bleu’ edition of this prose romance, popular since its earliest versions of the late fifteenth century. The King of France (named Jean de Paris) travels incognito to Spain with a sumptuous entourage to marry the daughter of the King of Spain, rejecting the King of England along the way.
