Diane de Bournazel’s ‘slate drawings’ are on thick rag paper made by maître papetier Jean-Pierre Gouy, each sheet prepared with a deep impression of a slate fragment passed through the rolling press when the paper was still damp. The drawings interpret the unique shapes of each fragment.
