Single leaf, vellum (200 × 155 mm), Latin text in 24 lines in double columns, in a fine and regular rounded hand, three three-line and seven two-line initials in green, blue and red, with white flourishes and burnished gold. In a modern cloth binding.
A particularly attractive and well-margined Italian decorated manuscript leaf. It is from a Benedictine Breviary sold at Sotheby's, 13 December 1965, lot 202, £180 to Folio Fine Art, described as 'northern Italian', but probably Naples.
