Hand coloured engraved print (315 × 200 mm, sheet size 410 × 266 mm). Untrimmed on two sides. Slightly dusty and soiled at margins, upper right hand corner torn away, traces of paper mounting, but the image very clean.

Caricature portrait of Georges Cadoudal (1771-1804), Breton leader of the Royalist Choannerie against the French Revolution, who, with secret British assistance, had attempted to stage an assassination of Napoleon Bonaparte while en route to Malmaison in 1803. He failed and was arrested and executed in Paris with eleven accomplices.
