First edition, with author’s inscription to Henri de Perere. A novel by Arrabal, a controversial Spanish playwright, screen writer, film director and poet. Aged 86 he has directed seven full length feature films, a hundred plays, fourteen novels and eight hundred poetry collections. He spent three years as part of Breton’s Surrealist group and was friends with Warhol and Tzara. New York Times critic Mel Gussow described the writer as the last survivor of the ‘three avatars of modernism’.
