First edition in French. A novel by the British author Malcolm Lowry, which follows the alcoholic jazz musician, Bill Plantagenet’s pilgrimage through the taverns of New York. A journey which subsequently concludes at a psychiatric hospital. Whilst watching the boats passing by the East River, Bill is faced with the understanding that his psychiatrist Dr Claggart will never heal his sick soul.
