WIG. ~ THE WIG. A Burlesque-Satirical Poem. By the Author of More Fun. London: Printed for the Author, And Sold by W. Flexney... 1765.
4to (250 × 196 mm), pp. , 24, complete with the half-title (which is rather soiled); recent wraps.
Sole edition. The satire, in which all aspects of the wig-makers art are paraded and admired, remains unattributed and no trace of More Fun is to be found in ESTC. However, a contemporary annotation to the copy of the Monthly Review reproduced in the ‘British Periodicals’ database, suggests the authorship of William Woty. ESTC: Birkenhead, BL, Bodley, Cambridge, John Rylands, Harvard, Chicago, Cincinnati, Illinois and Yale.
