First edition, first issue, with ‘difference’ for ‘deference’ in the dedication (corrected by hand, as usual, now offset). It is dedicated to Georgiana, Countess Spencer, ‘whose approbation and esteem were justly considered by Mr. Garrick as the highest panegyrick his talents or conduct could acquire’.
