Second edition—the first published in London—preceded by a Manchester edition c.1790 (8 copies in ESTC). Among the verse here, much of it religious, is ‘To Josiah Wedgewood, Esq.’ and ‘An Execration of the Slave Trade’: ‘O Commerce dire! big with infernal crimes, / This sanguine traffic of enlight’ned times!’
The University of British Columbia copy has two leaves of subscribers following the roman sequence, not found in most copies (as here). Jackson, p. 177.
