First edition: the first collection by the friend of the poet William Mason and Horace Walpole, who later printed Hoyland’s Poems (1769) at Strawberry Hill. Included are ‘Verses on the Death of a notorious Bawd’ (i.e. Moll King) and ‘On an Old Maid that chewed Tobacco’.
