First edition. A collection of 40 pieces by the poet Newbolt, 12 of which were published a year earlier in a publication called Admirals All. The book contains the work Drake’s Drum, about the legend of a drum owned by Sir Francis Drake and beats in times of national crisis, stirring Drake to return and aid his country.
