First edition in French, rare, of one the the most popular eighteenth-century works of equestrian medicine: The Gentleman’s pocket-farrrier. First printed in 1730, it was reprinted numerous times in the eighteenth century in England and translated for use on the continent. There were several French editions but the first is rare.
