First edition. In 1820 a handful of campaigners for parliamentary reform, including George Edmonds and Bentham's radical publisher Thomas Wooler, were tried at the Warwick assizes for their part at a meeting the previous year, at which they had elected the radical reformer Sir Charles Wosley (in his absence) as 'legislatorial attorney' for Birmingham and nominated him as the representative of their grievances at parliament.
