The site
The site is built using Java technology and designed around standard MVC architecture: Java Server Pages, Java Servlets, Tomcat, Hibernate and MySQL. I have endeavoured to optimise it for ease of navigation, robustness and speed, but above all, security. In addition, I've used Apache Lucene to give Google-like power to the search queries and the Tuckey URL Rewrite Filter to clean up the otherwise ugly URIs that Java Servlets can generate.
Our site hosts are Kattare - based in Oregon, USA. They have deservedly made a name for themselves as specialists in java hosting and I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a top-notch java host.
