First edition, large paper copy with a distinctive wood engraved bookplate by Edmond Van Offel. One of the principal works of Symbolist poet and critic Kahn. He wrote numerous plays, novels and literary criticisms and was very influential as a publisher of Symbolist writing. He also claimed to have invented vers libre and whilst this is argauable, he was still certainly one of the first European advocates of this form.
