The idea of the court of France, and the method of their proceedings, from the time of the Peace of Nijmeguen, until the spring of the year 1684. Supposed to be written by Don Pedro Ronquillo, the Embassador of Spain at the Court of England. Done out of Spanish into English.

12mo (155 × 90 mm.), pp. [viii], 184. Title within double-ruled border. Light spotting throughout. Nineteenth-century continental half calf, marbled boards, red eges. Nineteenth-century ownership inscription to front free endpaper. Spine rubbed, corners with further wear. A very good copy.
First edition in English of this diplomatic memoir by the Spanish ambassador to England. The anonymous editor suggests that the work was actually written in England but that it was first printed (in Spanish) in 1684 in Cologne. That first edition appears very rare.
