(RIDLEY, Nicholas, Bishop.)
... Some account of the life and martyrdom of the right reverend Dr. Nicholas Ridley, Lord Bishop of London.
Bristol: J. Chilcott, sold at the Depository, 6, Clare Street, Bristol; and by L.& G. Seeley, Fleet Street, London, 1839.
16mo (175 × 100 mm.), pp. 16. Wood-engraved vignette (the burning of Ridley) to title. Stamp of the North Staffordshire Church of England Tract Society to head of title. Lightly browned. Contemporary drab limp boards with traces of a (Tract Society?) printed label to upper cover. Covers soiled. A good copy.
This is no VI in the series issued by the Church of England Tract Society "instituted in Bristol, 1811" (from the title). It was first published in 1815 but we can find no other record of this 1839 Bristol imprint.
COPAC gives British Library and Oxford for the 1815 edition, but not this issue.
