Williams was a practical if unconventional expert in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness, though this work concentrates on the possibility of possesssion from a Christian perspective. He was a prolific author on the subject and his other works included: A new method for treating the insane; A short essay on insanity; Religion and insanity; Spiritual Insanity. To judge by the adverts here they elicited a favourable response in many quarters.
