8vo (182 × 100 mm.), pp. 788, [5]; 207, [1]. New Testament with its own title-page. Later ownership inscription in turquoise ink. Publishers' blindstamped panelled sheep, with "British and Foreign Bible Society" in central oval on upper cover. Sometime rather enthusiastically polished. A good example.
One of numerous foreign-language editions published at this time by the British and Foreign Bible Society.This copy preserves the original British and Foreign Bible Society binding with elaborate panels stamped from a single plate.
