First edition of a warm-spirited collection of verse by a railwayman of the Bridge of Weir (Renfrewshire). Many of Kidd's poems are in dialect and are variations on traditional Scottish themes ("Address to White Horse Whisky" etc). The collection also includes a series of the author's couplets first 'published' in white pebbles arranged on the station embankment: "Dispense with Drugs, but don't despair / Try Bridge of Weir for pure health-giving air."
